We're looking for a Senior/Staff+ Cloud Engineer to:
- Engineer a data platform and work on cutting-edge MLOps with guidance from MIT PhDs with top tech experience.
- Pioneer novel software systems for the rapidly growing field of data-centric AI. The platform has several tools that automatically find & fix issues in datasets.
- Work with the latest tooling and ML models at a dynamic startup.
- Provide technical input on designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure relating to data access, security and privacy, data processing, storage, and serving.
- Keep updated with the latest cloud technologies and offerings and how they relate to open-source alternatives to improve our infrastructure continuously. You will guide us on when to buy cloud services.
- Design and implement security best practices and data protection and compliance processes.
- Collaborate across the team and with clients to create the best cloud-based solutions for current and future customers.
What you'll need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from a highly recognized university.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering & architecting data solutions experience in product-focused, fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of open-source libraries, frameworks, and systems combined with experience deciding when to build from scratch vs use existing solutions.
- Solid understanding of current and future cloud offerings.
- Experience building significant backend distributed systems.
- Experience running production code in cloud environments, solving problems at scale, primarily in AWS.
- Previous early-stage employee or founder experience at a venture-backed tech company is strongly preferred.
- Desire and ability to learn quickly, take professional initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
- $140,000 - $200,005 a year
- Compensation is salary + meaningful equity in an early stage venture backed startup commensurate with experience.
